We applaud you and look forward to continuing our efforts and encourage others to back this movement for the sake of our communities younger generations!
🚨🚨😡😡 why do people feel they have to go around and tell people how our club will not be stainable as a football club …
You know who you are and so do we … so read on … maybe even copy what we are trying to do …
Why We’re Proud to Be a Free-to-Play Club – And Why It Is Sustainable
At FPCA Football Club, we’ve taken a bold and community-driven approach: we are a Free-to-Play grassroots football club. This decision wasn’t made lightly — it was made with purpose, planning, and passion.
We’ve heard that some local clubs are saying this model “isn’t sustainable.” But here’s the truth:
✅ We are a community-first club.
✅ We are backed by local and national businesses that believe in what we’re building.
✅ We have a strong fundraising structure and transparent planning in place.
✅ And we have a clear 3-year growth strategy to take our players and teams to the next level.
Yes, we don’t ask parents for £200+ upfront like other clubs — and that’s because we work as a team. We fundraise together, we support local businesses, and we are building a club that is driven by people, not profits.
But this doesn’t mean parents don’t have a role to play. Your involvement in fundraising, support on matchdays, and help behind the scenes is what powers this club forward. It’s a team effort — on and off the pitch.
Player development is at our core.
We focus on helping every child grow:
• On the field: with qualified coaches, structured sessions, and a pathway through youth to adult football.
• Off the field: by teaching responsibility, teamwork, and respect — the qualities that shape future leaders, not just players.
We’re building more than just a football club.
We’re building a movement for the Isle of Axholme — where football is accessible, community-led, and focused on the right values.
Thank you for believing in the vision.
Together, we’ll prove that grassroots football can thrive — without the big fees and grow as a club.
