A full garden clearance and the first steps of this customers garden design. Completed over a couple of days, keep checking in to see the next phase of the transformation.

A nice little job done this week for an old friend who wants a safer space for her baby daughter this summer.

-Old gravel dug up and removed
-Fresh topsoil brought in and levelled
-Timber edging installed
-Good quality turf layed
-Bark mulch to tidy up the edges
-Aftercare advice given

Time to plant the kitchen garden.
Bed 1: Tomatoes, lettuce, mixed salad leaves, spring onions and chives.
Bed 2: French bean, strawberries (these make excellent companions as beans fix nitrogen from the air into the soil which the moderately heavy feeding strawberries love!). Spinach, and butternut squash.
Bed 3: Brassicas. Purple sprouting broccoli and kale with a row of chives which help deter pests like the cabbage white butterfly.
