From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all of the support and referrals all of these years.

What started as an idea to help out my parents and follow in my dad's footsteps turned into a career and passion for all things irrigation. I have truly found my calling and it is time to take this to the next level. I have been running the ins and outs of our small business, Espinoza Irrigation, for over 10 years now with Belinda by my side. This business has grown and provided more than what we could have imagined but with just myself, Belinda and our small crew, we reached our capacity. We may have even overreached, especially during peak summer season, so for that we apologize and will do better.

Knocked out some drainage projects last week. Here is one of them. Necessary drainage doesn't have to be an eyesore so a modern paver walkway was the perfect solution for these customers.

Drip irrigation is a type of micro-irrigation system that has the potential to save water and nutrients by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants, either from above the soil surface or buried below the surface. The goal is to place water directly into the root zone and minimize evaporation. Drip irrigation systems distribute water through a network of valves, pipes, tubing, and emitters. Depending on how well designed, installed, maintained, and operated it is, a drip irrigation system can be more efficient than other types of irrigation systems, such as surface irrigation or sprinkler irrigation.

Spoke to a customer today who said he had been calling multiple irrigation companies to try and get a new sprinkler system installed and many were telling him they weren't doing new installs until about September, after summer was over.

Well guess what? We're still doing new installs and will continue to. Reach out if you have been thinking about getting an irrigation system put in. Now's the time before you have to spend hot summer days hand watering your grass.

This week, over the past few days, I have gotten at least 20 calls/texts asking what to do about irrigation during a freeze. The only thing you can really do is turn off your controller so that system doesn't turn on. Also, insulate any plumbing that is exposed, such as above ground backflow preventer (RPZ) or visible pvc under pressure.

I believe in Texas, winterizing your system and restarting it will be more expensive than an actual PVC repair. To eliminate these worries on all of our new systems, we install a master valve to keep the pressure at the meter and equip the controllers with rain and freeze sensors to avoid any problems in the winter.
