1. Determine which surface is best for you; bounded (concrete) or unbounded (natural surface)

2. Roll out your grass from end -to -end with the edges/sides touching one another incase you have joinings. Note that artificial grass comes in a constant width of 2m or 4m hence if your space is 6m width then you will either have 1 joining if you are combining a 4m width and 2m width or 3 joining if you are using 2m width all through. The lesser your joining the neater your grass and the less trouble you have with joint splitting over time.

3. Remove the edge tapes and reconfirm if the joint sides are touching without leaving gaps.
4. Roll out your joining tape under the 2 adjoining grasses incase you are installing on a sandy surface or on a rough concrete.

5. Apply your water resistant glue on the joining tape / concrete and at the flipped backing of your grass. Leave it for about 2 minutes to 5 minutes depending on the intensity of the sun.

6. Release the folded grass and clip the 2 open sides together on the joining tape or the smooth concrete floor where glue was applied.

7. Hit it down with hammer and clip down the edges. Some installers bury log of woods round the edges and nail the grass to it where it’s an open end edge.

8. Trim excess or flapping grasses to ensure you have a well detailed joining and edges.

9. Go round to be sure it is perfect and without any amendment.

10. Smile and hug yourself for doing a good job, well-done.

What grass is best for me?

1. Why do you want artificial grass?
Probably for landscaping, sports or playground using the right grass for the right purpose is as good as "putting the right peg in the right hole."

Standard football grass is between 50mm - 55mm pile height. It requires infill for balance and softness.

Playground- safety is primary for a playground hence a soft grass is what you need. 30mm, 35mm and 40mm grass are best suited for your purpose.

Landscape- Landscape can play with all types of artificial grass depending on the most eye-catching for the user. A 20mm grass will work thesame way the 40mm grass will work, simply choose your love.

Swimming pool- the reason for putting grass around swimming pool varies but there is need to have a grass that can hold the foot after stepping out of the water. A short grass is recommended; 20mm or 25mm but incase you want to enjoy the lush and soft feel around your pool then you can blend a 20mm grass around the pool with 30mm at the seat area.

2. Expected traffic on your grass

Are you likely going to have large number of people regularly moving on your grass like a park or event centre?
For high traffic areas, short grass will wear off easily hence a full and dense grass will serve better and also last longer.

3. Cleaning/maintenance: For an artificial grass within the house like the balcony or courtyard, a short or low density artificial grass will work better. You can easily sweep, hand pick objects and even splash little quantity of water to mop.

4. Your pocket: a full or dense grass is higher in price so you might want to be sure it won't bleed your pocket.

Have you ever been in a situation where your mechanic tells you lies and you can’t do anything about it because you can't verify? You need to hear this:

Mr. Charles lives in the Lekki area of Lagos and had a flight for 5.15 p.m at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos. He planned to leave for the airport at 2:00 p.m hoping to get there before 4:00p.m, traffic or not. He packed his bags in the trunk of the car and arranged his travel documents neatly in the car safe to avoid forgetting anything in the process of rushing.

At about 10.00 a.m, he contacted his mechanic to change the brake pads of the car and service it to avoid car failure on the way to the airport. The mechanic arrived and drove the car to his workshop.

He expected the mechanic to return the car before noon but he was nowhere to be found.

At 12:30 p.m, he called the mechanic and the mechanic said he’d be there soon.
