🌊🎉 We Did It! 100ft Charity Abseil for Ocean Youth Trust Scotland 🎉🌊

On Sunday, our AIM Rope Access team took on a terrifying but unforgettable challenge, a 100ft abseil down the Falkirk Wheel all in support of Ocean Youth Trust Scotland.

As a team, we’ve raised just shy of £1,750 and donations are still open until 31/03 for anyone who would like to support this incredible charity👏

Even better… 👀

Ocean Youth Trust Scotland collectively raised an amazing £7,000 on the day!👏

A phenomenal effort from everyone involved.

Taking part in something that pushes you out of your comfort zone while raising money for a cause that genuinely changes young people’s lives, that’s a feeling we won’t forget any time soon 🙌

Huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, supported, or cheered us on.

And of course, to the team who faced their fears and absolutely smashed it.

💥AIM Rope Access: The Team Taking 2026 by Storm💥

AIM Rope Access has grown steadily over the years, and today we’re proud to have a team that brings experience, personality and a whole lot of skill to every job we take on🙌

Andrew Turnbull founded AIM Rope Access back in February 2013, starting the business from scratch and shaping it into what it is today! Still can’t keep himself off the ropes. Even after all these years, he’s happiest up high with the team, harness on, getting stuck into the work first‑hand🙌

Richard Turnbull joined his brother in February 2020, adding even more technical knowledge and balance to the leadership! You'll normally find him in the office but If there’s a chainsaw job cutting, clearing or climbing he’s already there before anyone asks🙌

Christopher Lundon came on board around 18 months ago and is the guru behind our new business direction and growth. He’s the strategic brain who keeps AIM moving forward and evolving, completing our trio of directors and strengthening the business even further!🙌

I’m Natalie McKeown, and I joined “just for a few days” over a year ago… and never left. As Head of Business Development, I’m the person behind the social media posts, backbone of the office, the coordination, the communication and the client relationships. I keep things organised, keep things moving, and make sure the team has what they need to deliver safely and professionally. It’s a role I love and this team makes it easy.🙌

Most recently, Myles Maver joined us as our Storeman & Level 1 Rope Technician, and in under six months he’s already become a valued part of the AIM family 👏

🧗‍♂️🌪️Rope Access in Overdrive And We’re Still Going🌪️🧗‍♂️

What a week🥵

Our AIM Rope Access teams have been moving at a pace that even we didn’t think was possible and we’re still going🙈

From Inverness to Ayr, and everywhere in-between our crews have been out across Scotland delivering the kind of work that keeps buildings safe, clients reassured, and the phones ringing:

💥Roof repairs and loose flashing made safe
💥Emergency water‑ingress callouts
💥Rapid graffiti‑removal works
💥Safety supervision across multiple active sites

Meanwhile, the office has been running at full tilt keeping everything coordinated, organised, and moving and somehow, in the middle of all this, our directors Andrew Turnbull & Richard Turnbull still managed to complete their Rhododendron training in Glen Nevis provided by Nevis Landscape Partnership, opening up even more specialist service opportunities for our clients.

It’s been non‑stop, high‑pressure, high‑level work… and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thank you to every client who continues to trust AIM with their sites, their safety, and their urgent callouts. We’re proud of the standard we deliver even when the week is running at overdrive - and a massive shout‑out to our team for stepping in, stepping up, and keeping that standard high no matter how busy it gets. Their effort is a huge part of why AIM can push this hard and still grow👏

🔥AIM Rope Access is on FIRE right now and nothing is slowing us down🔥

Another weekend, another mission completed. While most people were switching off, our teams were out across the UK keeping the rail infrastructure moving 🚆⚡

Day shifts, night shifts, long shifts! We show up, we deliver, we keep the country running!

🧗‍♀️January Tried to Break Us. We Said “Hold My Rope.”🪢

While most people were still trying to remember their laptop passwords after Christmas, our teams were… well… everywhere:

🌊 In rivers with water rescue crews, fishing out shopping trolleys like some sort of extreme sport all to protect railway viaducts.

🚧 Under railway bridges with HiAbs, helping our rope techs remove debris that had chosen the most inconvenient place possible to wedge itself. Backed up by our water rescue team, because January apparently had a “bring your buoyancy aid” theme.

🏙️ Up on city‑centre roofs, repairing what the weather tried its best to destroy.

🧱 Under bridges carrying out masonry repairs, because infrastructure never sleeps.

🌲 Chainsaws buzzing from Isle of Skye to Northampton, clearing vegetation and keeping assets safe across the entire length of the UK.

If you tracked our January on a map, it would look like someone went rogue with a highlighter 🗺️

All of this… in one month🥵

So yes it’s been just a wee bit busy but it has been brilliant. And it’s exactly why we’re excited for what’s coming next🙌
