⚠️ Another EICR carried out this week – and this one had a few concerning findings…
During the inspection we came across several issues that could pose a potential safety risk if left unchecked:
❌ Single insulation visible and hanging out of a spotlight termination
❌ Poorly terminated meter tails into the main switch
❌ No grommets fitted in multiple back boxes
❌ High Zs readings on the upstairs socket circuit
❌ Missing blank from the consumer unit
❌ Cables entering the board rubbing against sharp metal edges
❌ Bottom grommet damaged – large enough to put a finger through
None of these issues are uncommon, but they shouldn’t be ignored. Over time faults like these can lead to overheating, electric shock risk, or damage to your installation.
An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) checks the condition of your electrics and identifies anything that doesn’t meet current safety standards.
