A huge congratulations to Finlay Dawes on successfully completing his electrical apprenticeship and officially becoming a fully qualified electrician!

This is a massive achievement and one that certainly hasn’t come easy. Completing an electrical apprenticeship takes years of hard work, dedication, learning and determination, so Finlay should be incredibly proud of himself. We definitely are!

Not only has he worked hard to get where he is today, but he also brings plenty of laughs along the way. His funny sense of humour and silly ways never fail to brighten the day on site and in the office, keeping everyone smiling no matter how busy things get.

Well done Fin, a fantastic achievement and very well deserved. The future is bright!

A great milestone reached this week on one of our Lytec Developments projects with the raft foundation concrete pour now complete 👏

This is actually the first time we’ve undertaken this type of foundation, so it’s been brilliant to see the whole process in action from start to finish. From drainage and backfilling through to shuttering, steel reinforcement and finally the concrete pour, a huge amount of planning and teamwork has gone into this stage of the build.

It’s been great watching everything come together on site and seeing the progress unfold step by step.

Big thank you to everyone involved for all the hard work throughout this phase.

These two were taken in the exact same spot, nearly 30 years apart… and yes, it is the same person 😄

Standing there in both is Tony, our Director.

A few things have changed over the years — The technology, the vehicles and somewhere along the way… a bold decision to go blonde clearly entered the chat 😆

But jokes aside, what hasn’t changed is Tony’s commitment, work ethic, and relentless drive.

For decades, Tony has been the backbone of everything we’ve built. Through all the ups, downs, and everything in between, he’s been the driving force behind where we are today.

And while a lot has evolved over 30 years, one thing’s stayed exactly the same, his passion for what he does. When you genuinely love your work, it shows… and he proves that every single day.

So here’s to Tony, still standing in the same spot, still leading from the front… just with a bit more experience… and a slightly brighter shade on top 😉👏
