RE: City of Tulsa Project No. 104928 Maintenance Zone 9029(W)-Street Reconstruction & Water Line Relocation
To: Maple Ridge Residents
Tri-Star Construction has been awarded the City of Tulsa construction project involving reconstructing the streets in Maple Ridge as well as replacing water lines and relocating water meters. Work will begin on Monday, August 17, 2015 and will c
ontinue for approximately 660 days. We will start the street reconstruction on Boston Place starting at 31st and working north. We will continue to reconstruct each street from south to north, working west to east from street to street. We anticipate that it will take approximately 30 calendar days to reconstruct one block, or approximately 800’ of roadway. We will begin the Water Line Relocation/Replacement portion of the project on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 starting at 28th Street & Peoria. We will install the water main & services working from east to west to Cincinnati. As we complete each street we will move north. Once we reach the northern end of the project limits we will move to 31st Street & Boston Pl and work our way north & east. Please see the attached Phase Map for additional information. Residents associated with this neighborhood street reconstruction and water line replacement project can be assured that Tri-Star will make every effort to minimize any inconvenience caused by these improvements. Construction will begin in each section as the previous phases are completed to minimize impact on the entire neighborhood all at once. You can expect flyers as well as updates to our Maple Ridge Neighborhood Construction page before work begins in your immediate area. Keep in mind as work begins, equipment will be in and out of the roadways and some streets will be temporarily closed to allow for reconstruction. Road closures will be clearly marked to eliminate confusion. As road work begins and before your street is closed, you will receive a flyer asking you to park your vehicle/s elsewhere to allow for removal of the roadway. During the street removal we will be removing the curb & gutter and the driveway approaches up to the Right of Way. Note: If you have a heated driveway, it is very important that you notify our liaison prior to any construction in your area so that we can avoid damaging it when replacing your driveway approach. These closures should only be for that day and you will be able to access your temporary gravel driveways again by 5:00PM that same day. At a later date, Tri-Star will fully restore your driveways and will require those resident’s driveways to be closed for approximately two (2) days. You can expect a 24 hour notice before reconstruction begins as well as updates on our Maple Ridge Neighborhood Construction page. In relation to the water line replacements and water meter relocation project, notices will be handed out to let you know when we’re beginning work on your street and that appointments will need to be set to meet with our liaison and plumber. Each house is unique in what can be expected to avoid disturbing your property. However, we’ll make every effort to insure the least amount of damage is made. Your cooperation is extremely vital to this being successful. We’ll need to roughly map out existing irrigation, drain lines, landscaping, and permanent structures that may fall within the Right of Way and/or in the path of water meter relocates. It would help tremendously if you were able to identify and have this information available at the time of the appointment with our liaison and plumber mentioned above. Locating these items prior to the street reconstruction and water line work will help us avoid damaging them during construction your driveway approach. Note: If your existing water meter is in your back yard, Right of Entries will need to be signed if you have not done so already. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have a Facebook account, please like and follow our Maple Ridge Neighborhood Construction page to stay updated on the progress of this project. You’ll find a construction schedule there which will be periodically updated throughout the project as well as other notifications to homeowners. Physical mail outs and flyers will also be sent out before construction in your immediate area. If you have any questions, contact Tri-Star’s Liaison; Sherri Hunt at 918.221.1730. Sincerely,
