Milwaukee Tool is hosting an exciting event on Wednesday, August 20 - and we're looking for a team of Girl Scouts to compete in the Skills Competition! You'll start the day learning about possible career paths and then work on a Day in the Life Build where you'll get hands-on experience in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. 🦺🔨

This is exciting news since the trades, in general, have been hurting for employees for many, many years. It is refreshing to see people encouraged to choose a path other than a 4 year school, which typically leaves a lot of debt.

More young people are choosing to get training in plumbing, welding, electricity and other trades instead of going to college. Many say they want to avoid racking up college debt and to start their careers with good salaries. NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports.
