We’ve completed the exterior restoration of the historic Waiteville Community Center! To honor its original design, we installed replica asphalt siding shingles, restored the corbels and board trim, and applied two fresh coats of paint.

A heartfelt thank you to the Waiteville Community Center board for entrusting us with this meaningful project.

A meaningful project I had the honor of completing a while back.

A client asked me to transform an old stone footer—once the foundation of a barn—into a permanent monument to honor someone very dear to them.

At the center of the stonework, we carefully enclosed a glass heart containing their loved one’s ashes, turning a piece of reclaimed history into a deeply personal tribute.

It was a small job in size, but one that carried a lot of weight and meaning. Grateful to be trusted with something so special.

I recently had the privilege of restoring the historic Clark-Wiseman & Neel Log Cabin Museum for the Monroe County Historic Society. Located just off Main Street in Union, WV, these cabins—dating back to around 1790—hold a very special place in the town’s history.

Working carefully to repair, replace, and restore the cabins, always mindful of preserving their original character. We used authentic materials, including replacement logs sourced from the 1800s, to honor the craftsmanship of the past.

Working in Union was a truly heartwarming experience. The friendly community, the rich history, and the genuine energy of the town made this project both inspiring and enjoyable. I was also pleasantly surprised to see our work featured in the local paper—a reminder of the impact such projects can have.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the Monroe County Historic Society for trusting us with this project and for welcoming us so warmly. It was an honor to be part of something so meaningful, and I look forward to future opportunities to contribute to preserving our shared heritage.

We went through a couple of packs of sandpaper restoring this beautiful deck, carefully sanding down to the raw wood grain. Once prepped, we refinished the surface with my go-to product, Penofin wood oil, which really brought the deck back to life. The wood now looks revitalized, and the grain absolutely pops, making the whole deck look years younger!
