🌧️ After the Rain

What a relief to finally feel the rain today.
After days of smoke and fire rolling through Muizenberg and beyond, Cape Town can finally breathe again.

We were out there too — watching in quiet awe as helicopters dipped low over the slopes, pulling off tight side-swipe manoeuvres to drop water right where it was needed. It was amazing to witness. And even more humbling to see the sheer courage of the firefighters, pilots, and volunteers who’ve been working around the clock. Thank you. Truly.

Now, as the smoke clears and the ground cools, some of us are noticing trees that don’t look quite right - scorched bark, cracked limbs, or leaning more than they should.
