I recently had the opportunity to upgrade this wooden Wendy on behalf of a wonderful customer. It serves as a spare room and needed to be made safe for family and friends who visit.

It was awesome to spend some time getting to know the resident while working on this Wendy.

There is likely to be a phase 2, where some other work will be done, so keep an eye on this page for updates.

So in a slight step away from catios, but still feline related, this problem solving pet owner, requested installation of a Pet Door or doggie door as they are often referred to.
Their solution to the problem required it installed on an internal door however.

I was only to glad to help.

This endearing, elderly end user came to me with a particular problem. She had taken a tumble over the stairs to the front door and needed a solution to avoid thisnin the future and make life easier.

"Maybe a concrete ramp" was the suggested option.

Now while concrete has its uses, it is generally grey, a bit bland, and rather 'hard' (its not my first choice)

So I suggested we extend the landing to something a bit more substantial and user friendly and integrate the ramp. And do it with a timber frame and balau decking, finished in a mahogany oil.

So I set to work.

I am pleased with the result, but even more pleased that the customer LOVES it.

Fix-It Fanatics = Problem Solved.

Anyone else out there finding that as one gets older, those little clichés got a little harder to swallow.
Paid some school fees, steep learning curve, experience is the best teacher.... these all came to mind on this job.
But we got it done.

This pic the customer sent me this morning. So glad she and her hubby are happy with the result.

So this family of feline lovers asked me to build a cattery. After googling what a cattery was (I didn't really, I knew😁), we discussed some options. They wanted some shade, some netting, some mesh, somewhere for the cat(s) to chill and somewhere for them to jump about. After deciding on a design and location, I got to work. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome and I'm sure the kitty will be too.

This kind customer had an outside space that didn't serve much purpose. Just a bit of 'meh' space.
And they needed somewhere to store the wheelie bins so the monkeys didnt get to them. The garage became too clutered with the bins in there.

So we went to work.

It needed to be accessible to the aircon unit so the roof structure is made to be removable. Lightweight netting keeps the monkeys out and a wood finish on the door for aesthetics.

Problem?
