Dear Directors... if CIPC invites you for a Beneficial Ownership (BO) Compliance Inspection, don't send your cousin, your accountant, your PA or your "trusted guy."

You must pitch up in person. CIPC wants to see the actual director or member... not your representative.

So do yourself a favour:
✅ Keep your BO records accurate.
✅ Keep them up to date.
✅ And save yourself from explaining why "the director is on leave" when CIPC is expecting... the director. 😂

VAT Vendors – Please Check Your CSD Profile

If your organisation is registered for VAT with SARS, make sure your valid VAT number is captured on your CSD profile.

From 1 August 2026, the CSD system will automatically calculate VAT on Requests for Quotations (RFQs). If your VAT number is missing or invalid, VAT will not be added to your quotation. This could result in you submitting a VAT-exclusive price to a government department, which may affect your quotation.

To avoid any issues, take a few minutes to check that your VAT details on the CSD are correct before the new system goes live.

Remember, it's your responsibility to keep your CSD profile accurate, up to date, and supported by the required documents. Incorrect or incomplete information could affect your ability to participate in government procurement opportunities.
