Kasi 2 Kasi Plumbing Association first board meeting held on 22 September 2023 at Soweto Empowerment Zone.

The following are the newly appointed board members.
1. Mr. Thabo Nkhasi (Chairman of the Board).
2. Mr. John. Jobe. Sithole ( Board Secretary).
3. Ms. Beatrice Makhanya (Board Finance & Resource Mobilization).
4. Ms. Connie Setimo (Head of Training & Capacity Development).
5. Mr. Shale Sekharume (Portfolio Pending).
6. Mr. Morgan Marumoloe (Portfolio Pending).
7. Ms. Nonceba Mthethwa (Portfolio Pending).
8. Mr. Potso Ranoko (Head of Audit & Compliance)
9. Ms. Thandiwe Jijane (Portfolio Pending).

The board of directors also endorsed four (4) independent Non-Executive Board members.

* Mr. Benny Mbinga.

BREAKING NEWS:
Today the 23 August 2023, Kasi 2 Kasi Plumbing and IOPSA embarked on a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together to uplift the Plumbing Industry in South Africa.

The Parties shall establish a Joined Steering Committee at the start of the MoU consisting of nominated representatives of the Parties, having the responsibility to implement the provisions of this MoU and to jointly evaluate the progress of the collaboration and projects.

The purpose of this MoU is to establish an overarching framework for strategic collaboration between KASI 2 KASI Plumbing Association , IOPSA and PIRB as a back up support structure:

(i) Joint development and submission of proposals for that may
benefit the plumbing sector and related;
(ii) Negotiate a relevant revenue model on case by case basis;
(iii) Identify and implement any further projects in mutual interest, and
(iv) Cooperate in sector beneficial training and events.
(v) Transforming the plumbing industry in terms of job
opportunity, gender and race.
(vi) Be part of decision-making bodies.

Parties in discharge of the above duties and fulfillment of their purposes and objectives, are desirous to collaborate in the development and implementation of an overarching framework for strategic collaboration.

Kasi 2 Kasi Plumbers Association will be hosting a Pre-Dialogue on "Conditions of Water and Sanitation supply in Schools.

The purpose of the Pre-Dialogue is to present the context and survey form to be used as we will be embarking on school visits to collect information to feed into our data to be presented at the actual Dialogue which will be announced in due course.

and Safety of our children in School should be a priority

15 August 2023, Kasi 2 Kasi Plumbers Association hosted a meeting with Plumbing Africa and Interact Media Defined Director Mr. Rory Macnamara.

The meeting took place at our offices to introduce each other and forge a working relationship going forward. The following were outcomes of the meeting;
1. Kasi 2 kasi Plumbers Association will be added into the Plumbing Africa Directory Journal.
2. Interact Media Defined will establish a magazine for Kasi 2 Kasi.
3. Plumbing Africa and Kasi 2 Kasi Plumbing Association will work on joined programs going forward.

So, more still to come, plumbing industry lacks leadership and a cohesive leadership eminent at this stage.
