Natural stone cladding, perforated screens, and wood accents work together for one goal privacy without losing light, the layout responds to the sun path, keeping glazing where it should be and shade where it’s needed, landscaping ties the whole composition to the ground.

This is the first floor of a project built around one idea old money, done contemporary.

The star of the space is the man cave: a private lift brings the client’s car straight up, landing in a room with slanted ceilings, wood textures, a spiral staircase, and a cigar humidor, the same marble is used throughout, placed intentionally in every corner.

Upstairs, the family area mirrors the ground floor layout, and a coffee bar echoes the teppanyaki downstairs same materials, same story.

Traditional arches, rebuilt for a modern villa.

The entrance sits under a freestanding pointed arch, above a shallow water feature. Perforated stone screens shade the tall windows and keep the interiors private. At the back, an arched arcade runs along the pool, with vertical fins and a slatted pergola to control the sun.

An entertainment level built around water.

An indoor pool runs through the space, with a circular rain curtain falling from the ceiling as the centerpiece. A timber grid ceiling defines the wet zone, while board-formed concrete and fluted wood hold the walls. Full-height glazing keeps the pool, lounge, and games area as one open floor.

𝗔 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲. 𝗜𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮.

Senior Architect 𝗔𝗺𝗿 𝗞𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗿 breaks down a concept shaped by the space between the architecture, not just the architecture itself.
Shifting geometry at the entrance opens gradually to a northwest view, with a central courtyard you cross by bridge to reach the other side of the home.
One request. One idea. And it changed everything about how this villa was designed.
