Expo City awards contracts for new residential project!

Expo Valley, set to welcome its first residents in early 2026, will comprise 532 villas, townhouses and semi-detached properties.

Expo City Dubai has awarded four contracts for its Expo Valley residential project, with three going to UAE-based firms. The developer has also launched plots of land for sale within the development.

The project aims to meet sustainability standards for environmentally friendly communities that promote health and well-being.

Newly launched Expo Valley plots offer land from 7,500 to 12,500 sq. ft.
“We continue to work closely with leading local and international companies, renowned for their expertise, as we build a community that epitomises top quality, exceptional urban design. The newly launched Expo Valley plots offer land from 7,500 to 12,500 square feet, with options to combine areas.

Expo City Dubai has awarded four key contracts to three UAE-based companies and one international firm for the construction of Mangrove Residences.

In a statement, Expo City said it has contracted local demolition company USF to remove former Expo 2020 Dubai pavilions and existing structures on the designated plot.

Meanwhile, Dubai-based landscapers Proscape have been contracted for infrastructure and clearance works, and International Foundation Group (IFG), one of the UAE’s leading deep foundation specialist firms, will handle enabling and shoring works.

Groundwork is now complete, with more than 150,000 cubic metres of earth removed to make way for the foundation, ground slab and basement car park.

Engineering and construction contractor Shapoorji Pallonji International, which has built hundreds of landmark structures globally, including residential, commercial, and hospitality properties, has been appointed to handle the main construction work.

Mangrove Residences is located a five-minute walk away from Al Wasl Plaza and the main attractions at Expo City, and is one of three clusters of apartments that form Expo Central.

Its three residential towers feature 450 one- to three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom loft apartments, and three-bedroom townhouses. First launched in March 2023, units are fully sold out. Two towers of the Sky Residences, another Expo Central development, are under construction and have been partially sold out, with a third tower soon to be announced. Sidr Residences, the third Expo Central development, is expected to be launched at the end of the year.

Nakheel, the well-known UAE developer, has gone a step further and appointed Fibrex Contracting and Ginco General Contracting as the Contractors to build its new luxury residential project, District One West, in

District One West will include 467 luxury villas and mansions with four to seven bedrooms. The process of construction here is set to start once the award of contracts has been concluded.

To address the appointments, Mohammed Rashed, the Chief Projects Officer at Nakheel, said that not only Fibrex and Ginco have been working in the area for a long time, but they also have a strong experience that will be very useful to Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City development. Fibrex is an Abu Dhabi contractor who has dealt with many exceptional projects, whereas Ginco focuses on the construction of commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.

“We believe that in the ex*****on of this project, their dedication to quality will be a benefit to it,” Rashed said.

The District One West luxury villas will be situated in a closed community village next to The Meydan Hotel and Meydan Golf Course. The project will generate easy access to highways like Al Khail Road and Meydan Road.
