Lumen Coffee 1936 is live on ArchDaily!

"The project does not aim to transform the space into something new, but to extend its life. By minimizing intervention and maintaining reversibility, it proposes an approach where contemporary architecture operates within an existing structure without dominating it. We approached 5th International Print Biennale Yerevan exhibition design as a pure suprematist composition, working with the given conditions of the space, without masking its imperfections. It’s striking how the poor physical state of the art center does not diminish the beauty of its interior. There is a particular pleasure in engaging with a pure space, thinking through its geometry and the logic of form-making.

We’re honestly moved (and a bit surprised) that our naïve, playful Cloud connected with so many of you. Thank you for all the love!
It’s been floating above Swan Lake for two weeks already and will stay for two more.

So, right at the halfway point, we’d love to share a little behind-the-scenes: from our very first hand-drawn sketches, to the early competition renderings, and finally the parametric model that brought the Cloud to life.

A feeling of lightness, joy, and playfulness - a breath of fresh air, a sigh we all so deeply need.
The “Disclaimer Cloud” represents that feeling - an ethereal, functionless object. A playful gesture meant to catch the eye, spark curiosity, and maybe, just maybe, make you smile.
It’s fun! But it won’t stop the climate change or clean the air. Demand action!

Մեր արկածները Վենետիկում ու Միլանում ավարտվեցին։
Լիքը պատմելու, կիսվելու ու ցույց տալու բան ա կուտակվել։ Սակայն առաջին հերթին կիսվում ենք Միլանի տրիենալեում Հայաստանի տաղավարի մասին պատմող վիդեոյով, քանի որ այս տաղավարը մեր ճարտարապետական համայնքի համար մեծ ձեռքբերում ու հաջողություն էր։
Ցավոք ոչ բոլոր մասնակիցներն էին ներկա բացմանը, բայց կարող եք տեսնել ու լսել ներկայացված որոշ օբյեկտների մասին հենց հեղինակների խոսքերը։

Հատուկ շնորհակալություն Meganom-ին ու Library for Architecture-ին բոլորիս համախմբելու ու տրիենալեում առաջին հայկական տաղավարը իրականացնելու համար։

snkh. turns 10!
To mark our 10th anniversary — and ahead of several international exhibitions we're proud to be part of — we’ve (finally) launched a brand new website!
It’s more than just a portfolio now: it’s a living archive of our practice, stretching even beyond those 10 years.

On the homepage, you’ll find (almost) everything we’ve done — in reverse chronological order — from our latest projects to early experiments:
A 2011 Pecha-Kucha talk called "Ornament and Crime" from our student days at NUACA, a 2012 residential project 3000 km from Yerevan, exhibitions, furniture, interiors, interviews… Many of these have never been published before.

This is our way of reflecting on the journey so far — collecting it all to better move forward and keep exploring the unknown.
