Here’s what one of my families shared after our time together:

“We really don’t know how we would have managed without Martina.

With the challenge of twin babies as our first children, her experience was indispensable in getting us through those first difficult months. With consistency and patience, she synced our twins’ sleeping and feeding schedules.

From day one, we felt comfortable leaving our sons in her trusted care. She guided us in all areas, supported our personal choices, and helped us build confidence as new parents.

Martina is a very gentle and caring Maternity Nurse, extremely experienced, and a true professional. It was a delight to have her around.”
— S. & R. with Twins, Frankfurt, Germany

After just a few weeks, both babies had settled into a gentle, consistent rhythm — allowing the family to move from overwhelm to confidence and truly enjoy those early months.

✔ Specialist support for twins & multiple babies
✔ Gentle structure, calm, and consistency in the early months
✔ Confidence and peace of mind for new parents

Supporting each family with a calm, responsive approach tailored to their needs.

📩 Feel free to reach out to discuss availability.

In the early weeks with a newborn, many parents feel a quiet pressure to do everything “right.”

Feeding, sleep, soothing… it can quickly feel like there is a perfect method you are supposed to follow.

But newborns are not looking for perfect techniques.

They need calm, responsive care — an environment where their nervous system can settle while parents gradually learn their baby’s cues.

In my newest blog post, I explore why slowing down in the early weeks often supports newborn sleep, feeding, and regulation far more than trying to “get everything right.”

If you are expecting a baby or navigating the first weeks with your newborn, you may find this reassuring.

During pregnancy and birth, professional support is normalised.
Once families are home, support often becomes informal – or disappears.

Postpartum is still a period of transition, recovery and learning.
Having experienced, professional care at home can make all the difference.

This is where my work begins.

The early weeks after birth are not only about caring for a newborn.
They are also about restoring the mother.

Nourishment, rest, and steady support are not “extras” —
they are essential foundations for recovery, regulation, and confidence.

When a mother is cared for,
the entire family system benefits.

This is why postpartum support should never focus on the baby alone,
but on the dyad — mother and child — together.

Because a well-supported mother
is one of the most powerful forms of postpartum care.

This perspective shapes the way I support families in the early weeks.

Neugeborenenbetreuung wird oft mit Aktivität verwechselt.
Mit Beschäftigung.
Mit „etwas tun müssen“.

In Wirklichkeit geht es um etwas anderes:

• genaues Beobachten
• fein abgestimmte Übergänge
• verlässliche Abläufe
• und ein tiefes Verständnis dafür,
wann ein Baby Begleitung braucht –
und wann Raum.

Professionelle Betreuung zeigt sich nicht darin,
wie viel passiert,
sondern darin, was bewusst weggelassen wird.

Das schafft Sicherheit.
Für das Baby – und für die Eltern.

Diese Art der Begleitung ist leise.
Aber sie trägt.

Neuro-play in the newborn phase isn’t about exercises or stimulation.
It’s about how care is offered in the earliest weeks.

How a baby is held.
How their body is supported.
How transitions are paced.
How much sensory input is offered — and when it’s reduced.

When babies are given gentle invitations instead of instructions,
they show us their awareness, competence, and capacity in quiet ways.

Not because we push development —
but because we allow it.

This kind of care supports regulation, connection, and trust.
And it begins long before anything looks like “play.”

This is the kind of care I support families with — quietly, respectfully, and always led by the baby.

Feeding doubts often begin quietly.

During cluster feeding evenings.
When milk is transitioning.
After a growth spurt.
When a baby suddenly feeds differently and nothing feels predictable anymore.

Concerns about milk are real and valid — especially for many breastfeeding parents.
Supply, transfer, timing: these questions matter.
And feeding doubts can show up in every feeding journey.

What often makes them heavier is uncertainty.
Fragmented sleep.
Too many voices.
And the feeling that you’re meant to figure this out on your own.

Most of the time, the baby is doing exactly what they should be doing.
And sometimes, what parents need most is not more information, but calm guidance that helps them see what’s already there.

This kind of calm, informed guidance is at the heart of my work as a Master Newborn Care Specialist.

Recently completed the NICU Doula Academy with The NICU Translator.

This training added valuable perspective to my work as a Master Newborn Care Specialist®, particularly when supporting families whose start to parenthood has been complex or unexpected — including premature birth, prolonged NICU stays, and the transition home.

Always learning. Thoughtfully weaving new knowledge into my existing work, so families feel supported with even more clarity, confidence, and care — especially during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Some Christmas traditions don’t end when the holidays pass.

Keeping a small slice of the Christmas tree — engraved, hand-painted, or left natural — can become a quiet ritual that returns each year.
Hung back on the tree, it marks time in the simplest way:
this was our Christmas, this was that year.

A small keepsake.
A familiar gesture.
A tradition that gently grows with your family.
