Die Stadt rückt an die Vöckla - 1. Platz, Wettbewerb Wohnquartier Kunstmühle Vöcklabruck
Das Freiwerden des Areals der ehemaligen Kunstmühle und die Verlegung der Straße bieten eine einmalige Jahrhundertchance, das historische Stadtzentrum mit dem Naturraum an der Vöckla zu verbinden. Vier Wohnhäuser mit Gewerbe- und Gastronomie in der Sockelzone säumen einen gemeinsamen Platz am Mühlbach. Der neue Platz mündet über die neue Vöckla-Terrasse in die parkartige Vöckla-Landschaft. Gesellige Nutzungen und ein hohes Mass an Aufenthaltsqualitäten sollen zur Belebung des neuen Quartiers beitragen.
Wir wünschen uns, dass dieses Projekt nicht nur gebaut, sondern auch gelebt wird – als Ort, an dem Menschen gerne zusammenkommen. 🖤

„The red house“ – the clear roof shape not only characterizes the exterior appearance, but also the living spaces inside. Warm wooden surfaces provide an additional feel-good factor here.

“The Red House“ ❤️

A young family has created a home next to their parents‘ farm for intergenerational living. Rather than sealing off new areas on the outskirts of the village, they built in the middle of it: an area that had become vacant due to the decline of farming and was now unused. The new house reinterprets the traditional long building with a hipped roof, referencing the typical farmhouses of the region. In a rich brick red, it blends naturally into the surroundings. It looks as if it has always been there. :-)

- aluminium sheets in a soft beige tone to complement the wood
- vivid multicolour terrazzo tiles for our great spiral staircase

In collaboration with , we developed the design for Plot 5 at Seecarree, where our concept creates new connections between public space and community living. A continuous plinth connects the five buildings, facilitating transitions to the surrounding city and integrating a variety of uses, ranging from a kindergarten to shared community spaces. The position of each building within the ensemble naturally results in a variety of living situations tailored to different needs, with each building developing its own character. Flexible layouts, communal rooftops and sustainable construction methods support adaptable, future-ready living. We are proud that our contribution to this ensemble fits precisely into Seestadt’s urban fabric, offering new impulses for inclusive and resilient city life.
