My video for the theme week hosted by Der Würfelorden is now live 🙂

I decided to paint Gandalf the White — and while working on it, I realized something:

Painting white isn’t really about the color… it’s about light.

In this video, I show my approach to achieving clean white without it looking flat or chalky, focusing instead on contrast and light.

Maybe this is helpful for anyone who struggles with painting bright colors 🙂

Heute geht mein Beitrag zur Themenwoche bei Der Würfelorden online 🙂

Ich habe mich an Gandalf der Weiße gewagt – und dabei gemerkt:
Eigentlich geht es beim Weiß bemalen gar nicht so sehr um die Farbe selbst… sondern um das Licht.

In meinem Video zeige ich meinen Ansatz, wie ich versuche, genau diese Wirkung auf die Mini zu bringen – ohne dass das Weiß flach oder kreidig wirkt.

Vielleicht ist das ja auch für den einen oder anderen von euch interessant, der sich mit hellen Farben schwer tut 🙂

The next project is already well underway for another fantastic local client. Apparently, people like my style of painting Blood Bowl miniatures.

Tomorrow, I'm also starting my Golden Demon project for this year's SPIEL fair in Essen. It's probably the biggest challenge I've ever tackled. Model building, assembly, and painting will take several months, but I hope it's worth it :)

It’s been pretty quiet around here lately – and first of all, I want to apologize for that.

The past few months have been quite intense: I moved to a new place and had to completely rebuild my studio from scratch. That took a lot of time and energy, but everything is finally up and running again.

At the same time, I’ve been working on this project… and it turned out to be one of the most time-consuming and challenging teams I’ve painted so far.

This Chaos Dwarf Blood Bowl team is packed with detail, strong contrasts, and tons of character in every single miniature. From the glowing lava bases to the sharp highlights and intricate elements – there are countless hours poured into this one.

This was a commissioned project, and I want to give a huge thank you to my client for their patience and trust throughout the entire process. It really means a lot 🙏

I’m incredibly happy to finally share the finished result with you!

🏆 A great honor - again! 🏆

I’m incredibly honored to have designed and produced the trophies for the Austrian Lord of the Rings Tabletop Championships for the second year in a row.
And once again, I’ve been invited to serve as a judge for the painting competition — a role I deeply appreciate.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for the trust, support, and enthusiasm that make this event so special.
Special thanks to Bad Banana Board Games and QLT Curse for the fantastic organization — it’s truly a pleasure to work with you.

Creating these pieces under Bloodbrush Studios has been an amazing experience, and I’m grateful to be part of such a passionate community.

Ich freue mich riesig, dass ich heuer zum zweiten Mal die Trophäen für die Niederösterreichischen Herr der Ringe Tabletop Meisterschaften designen und produzieren durfte – und dass ich erneut als Juror für die Bemalbewertung dabei sein darf.
