Courtyard apartment | Kitchen layout

We knocked down a dividing wall to merge two smaller rooms into one generous, open kitchen and dining space. The new layout will house a cosy dining nook in one corner, a dedicated breakfast and bar station directly across and the main kitchen anchoring the long wall.

We drew design inspiration from a mid-century aesthetic featuring rich, reddish wood fronts and a striking red stone worktop and splashback. Overhead, reeded glass cabinets will add lightness and texture.

Removing the wall required a steel beam, which slightly lowered the ceiling. To blend it in seamlessly, we’re introducing custom coving that honours the building’s original entrance hall, paired with soft Roman blinds to frame the windows. The cement chequerboard tiles will tie the space together and bring the Vienna Altbau language back into the space.

Vienna Home ~ ‘Though the dark floral wallpaper covered built-ins look entirely natural in their current context, Salley reminisces on their original polarizing nature. “Everyone we showed the before version to was like, ‘Really, you’re keeping that?’” she says. “But it’s funny. Now everyone that walks in says ‘Where did you get that fabulous wallpaper?’” And she doesn’t have an answer, the vintage print is of unknown origin. Meanwhile, the beveled mirror is and the oak chair is by .’

Powder room

We are currently overseeing the refurbishment of a beautiful courtyard apartment, where an over-scaled, L-shaped entrance hall offered the perfect opportunity for a spatial encore. By dividing the space, we’ve maintained a generous sense of arrival while introducing an entirely new program: The Powder Room.

As our clients are musicians, the ritual of “getting ready” is an essential prelude to their performances. This new layout allows them to prepare in tandem—one reclaiming the primary bathroom while the other retreats to this dedicated suite.

Inspired by the intimacy of Old Hollywood dressing rooms, the concept aims to provide a “cosy” counterpoint to the apartment’s otherwise grand classic scale.

The tactile palette features:
• A plush, silky carpet for a soft underfoot experience.
• Deeply stained wood paired with cabinetry lined in patterned terracotta fabric.
• Walls draped in translucent terracotta fabric to catch the light and add atmosphere

Project Lisicina, Zagreb

A refurbishment of a classical Villa in Zagreb’s West End, where our aim was to revive and elevate a slightly dated interior.

In the bathroom, we opted for a minimally invasive refresh, introducing a vibrant wallpaper that complements the existing tiles while injecting fresh energy into the space.

The living room transformation centers on a reconfigured fireplace, now clad in sleek, hammered black granite to provide a strong visual anchor within the grand open-plan layout.

For the guest WC, we transitioned a once-underused beige space into a warm, inviting retreat. Drawing inspiration from the clients’ love for Japan, we paired bespoke oak features and a custom window surround with soft grey-blue tiles laid horizontally.

Finally, the master bedroom received a full functional overhaul. We designed a custom built-in headboard featuring integrated book shelving, pull-out bedside drawers, and clever hidden storage for admin essentials and a printer.

A year ago, our home was featured in Architectural Digest—my very first publication and something I never imagined possible. On a whim, I reached out to my favorite magazine, and to my amazement, the NYC head office of AD responded with interest in my project.

Since then, it’s been an honor to see the feature shared in AD Spain, AD France, AD Italia, AD Mexico, and other incredible publications.

This milestone is a reminder: never underestimate yourself, and always aim high.

I’m currently working on some exciting new projects—stay tuned for what’s to come!

Kitchen design loading ~
Excited to share a sneak peek of this upcoming kitchen for a family home in Vienna. The design makes full use of the generous ceiling height with floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, while a striking dark green stone from Burgenland, Austria, has been selected for the island and splashbacks.

An integrated French-door fridge and concealed pantry hidden behind pocket doors, offer plenty of storage while keeping the space clean and uncluttered. The room’s angled layout posed a challenge, which we embraced by designing a tapered island that sits parallel to both sides of the room. The wider end features seating tucked neatly under the overhanging stone.

Excited to see this space come to life!

Proposal for a Japanese Café in Vienna ~ A deep, linear space opening to the street through a fully glazed façade. The design brings the outside world in: a bar positioned at the back, seating animating the shopfront, and planting that creates a moment of calm within the city. At its heart, a single tree anchors a quiet courtyard and a small tea ceremony bay. A contemporary interpretation of Japanese spatial balance within a listed Viennese fabric.

Proposal for a country house refurbishment in collaboration with .topalovic

Our design creates a unified masterplan that strengthens the flow between the site’s buildings while breathing new life into the old stone cottage.

The refurbishment maximises the attic space and reimagines both floors with a modern layout. A striking double-height entrance hall connects the levels and sets the tone for a warm yet impressive arrival.

Designed as a weekend retreat for a Vienna-based family, the house balances intimate gatherings with space for larger celebrations in summer and at Christmas. The proposal embraces the charm of the existing cottage and the historic roof trusses, while maximising daylight and introducing colour for a fresh, contemporary character

Concept Design ~ Design proposal for a new build house in Zagreb, Croatia. The main challenge was to deal with the narrow and steeply sloping site. The proposal maximises the views by placing the main living areas on the upper levels and create a direct relationship to the stepped garden. Follow for progress as we take the project from concept, through planning application and finally to be built on site!
