What. A. Weekend.
New Motor, New Sponsor CP Metal Fabrication, Lachlan Ward coaching and a butt full of confidence.
16th in qually
10th in race 1
9th in race 2
9th in race 3
19th in race 4
DNF in race 5
Overall 10th
4th in Semi Pro
Could not believe the pace the car had this weekend.
Qualifying was messy but more than made up for it from the start of race 1 going from 16th to 12th in the first corner and making a few extra spots throughout the race.
Race 2 I aimed to hold on to that 10th spot for the reverse top 10 race on Sunday. Again getting an absolute wicked start jumping up to 7th before dropping back to 9th. That still turned into 2nd on the grid for race 3
Race 3 was management try to hold position for as long as possible before getting swamped by the pros.
Again getting another 9th position.
Race 4 was a bit more hairy racing hard with Skinner, Symes and Benaud for 8th before being spun back to 24th but was able to climb back to 19th before the end of the race.
Race 5 was short lived got another blinder of a start before my tail shaft left the chat.
Ups and downs all weekend but and overwhelmingly positive weekend for me. Couldn't have asked for anymore.
Big thankyou to my Sponsors CP Metal Fabrication and Alkar Refrigeration Services and too my Dad who wrenched on the car relentless all weekend!
