🔧 Steel Fixer / Construction Labourer – Immediate Start (Adelaide)

S and J Steel Fixing is looking for reliable workers to join our team working on residential construction sites across Adelaide.

Work includes:

Steel fixing (reinforcement for residential slabs & footings)
Carrying, tying and placing reinforcement
General construction labour

⚠️ This is physically demanding outdoor work with early starts.

Requirements:

White Card (required)
Reliable transport (required)
Able to work in a fast-paced team
Good attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred (not essential):

Steel fixing or construction experience
Own tools

We’re growing and looking for:

1. Experienced Steel Fixer

Pay: $40–$45/hr casual (depending on plan-reading skills & experience)

Must have:
✔ Residential footing experience
✔ Able to read footing plans
✔ White Card
✔ Driver’s licence + own transport
✔ Reliable and able to work full-time hours

2. Labourers

Pay: $28–$32/hr casual

We will train you in:
✔ tying
✔ site workflow
✔ reading residential footing plans

Must have:
✔ White Card
✔ Licence + reliable transport
✔ Good attitude and willingness to learn

Check out this waffle pod steel reinforcement job we completed last week! 🏗️ This house extension includes underfloor heating, so we'll be heading back to site soon to place the top layer of mesh after the heating installation is done.
Waffle pod slabs are a cost-effective alternative to traditional raft slabs, saving time and money during construction. They conform to the Australian Standard for Residential Slabs and Footings, but it's important to consider site conditions before using them. 🏠🔨
