Me listening to scientific plant names like: “Yep. That’s definitely a plant.” 🤨

Why fight nature when you can work with it? 🌿

We love using Australian natives in our projects wherever possible. From the sculptural beauty of Grass Trees and Banksias to the colour and texture of Grevilleas, Westringia and Lomandra.

They’re adapted to our climate, support local wildlife and look amazing too!

Work with nature, not against it. 🌱

The entertaining space at Stonyfell is taking shape.

The travertine paving by Australian Paving Centre is creating a warm foundation for the entertaining area, while the new pergola will provide shelter and define the space.

We didn’t sand away the character, we designed around it. 🪵

These posts are locally sourced hardwood, milled but left with their natural features intact - bark, knots, texture and all.

Rather than smoothing them out, we arranged them to celebrate their character.

No two posts are the same, and that’s exactly the point.

Natural materials bring a warmth and individuality you just can’t replicate.

Things are moving at our Stonyfell project! 👀

The recent rains may have held us up, but we’re back on site and pushing forward.

We’re reusing existing stone from site for the retaining wall, paired with a Wistow bluestone and timber bench and a crazy pave patio area.

Down the bottom, a more modern travertine patio and new pergola are taking shape too.

Bringing colour, texture & wildlife - one plant at a time 🌿

Every plant has a role.

Some bring structure. Some bring softness. Some bring movement and some create habitat for wildlife 🌿

Here’s what our client had to say:

“We highly recommend Desert Flower Landscaping who transformed our rather tired garden. Malcolm and his team are professional and excellent communicators. They are respectful, punctual, hardworking and kept the site tidy. The work was completed on time and we were kept informed of costs throughout the project. We love the end result, our new garden of native plants looks amazing and is now a space to enjoy!”
