Another great transformation delivered by our team.

LCS recently helped turn the Inkerman landfill cap into a stable, self-sustaining landscape. The site posed real challenges: steep batters, highly dispersible soils, and low biological activity made plant establishment and erosion control difficult.

Through targeted soil improvement and customised vegetation strategies, including hydroseeding with locally sourced native seed, we achieved strong early growth and effective erosion control. The results are already visible in the emerging native grasses.

Dry grasses act as fine fuels that can quickly spread bushfires. When flames contact these fine fuels, they ignite easily, causing fires to move rapidly across the landscape.

Regular w**d-spraying when grass is green and slashing once it’s dry are two of the most effective ways to reduce fire risk. LCS Environmental has undertaken work with the Australian Government, Local Councils and private property owners to proactively undertake activities like removing w**ds and slashing vegetation, which helps lessen the risk, intensity and spread of future bushfires.

LCS Environmental understands that biodiversity is the backbone of healthy ecological systems. We specialise in endemic species propagation, erosion and soil management, pest and w**d control, fire and water management, and long-term ecological maintenance. Our projects are guided by a holistic approach that considers biodiversity, community needs and environmental resilience. We maintain sites until they become self-sustaining ecosystems.

Climate change is fundamentally altering our planet's climate systems, leading to more extreme weather patterns including earlier and longer fire season.

At LCS Environmental, we believe proactive management is essential to protect people, property, and the environment. We partner with the Australian Government, local councils, and private landholders to reduce bushfire risk through targeted vegetation management.

Our Bushfire Mitigation & Prevention Services includes:
- Slashing, brush cutting and vegetation removal
- Controlled burning guided by CFS & DEW standards

Though they cover only a small portion of the planet’s surface, wetlands are among the most valuable ecosystems on earth — they're rich in biodiversity, vital for water purification, and essential for flood control. 💧

At LCS Environmental, we construct and maintain natural and established wetlands across South Australia. Our wetland specialists are qualified and well-experienced in Plant Species Requirements, Natural Resource Management, Wetlands and Biodiversity best practices to establish and preserve ecological systems.

Did you know that native plants help support local wildlife and improve water quality? 🌱

At LCS Environmental, we prioritise native species to nurture healthier and more resilient environments. By collecting seeds from local native species, we’re helping preserve plants that are naturally adapted to our unique soils and climate — while supporting the broader goal of biodiversity conservation.

We’ve been out at Warren Reservoir putting a few hundred new plants in the ground.

Good to know their root systems will get straight to work doing their bit for erosion control and helping to boost biodiversity in this ecosystem.

Here’s one we’re pretty proud of.

This mine site was bare 18 months ago.

We collected native seed from just down the track, mixed it into a custom hydroseeding blend, and got it straight back onto the ground.

This is the growth now, 18 months on.

No irrigation, no tube stock. Just good timing, good prep, and the right local seed.

Always satisfying seeing a rehab site take off like this.

Turf’s in short supply across SA. Demand is high, supply isn’t keeping up, and projects are feeling the pinch.

If you’re stuck waiting or watching budgets, there’s another way: hydroseeding.

Direct hydroseeding sprays a custom seed mix straight onto prepared soil. No turf rolls, no freight issues. Just high-germination growth, fast coverage, and roots that develop in situ from day one.

It’s not a backup - for many sites, it’s a better fit.

✔ Ideal for large-scale or sloped areas
✔ Lower cost per m² than turf
✔ High success rate when applied with soil binders and tackifiers
✔ Flexible mix for your soil type and use case

You can’t manage dust reactively.

We work alongside civil teams from day one, tailoring control methods to traffic levels, weather conditions, and risk zones.

It's not just about meeting the standard. It's about protecting people, air, and the land underfoot.
