Today our team attended a local school after they had difficulty getting contractors to respond to urgent compliance maintenance.

While the kids were busy learning in the classroom, we were behind the scenes making sure their water systems were safe, compliant and operating correctly ✅

Our works included:

🚰 Testing and servicing the school’s backflow prevention device
🌡 Servicing and pasteurising thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) feeding the children’s bathrooms
🦠 Carrying out thermal disinfection to help reduce potential legionella risks
🧪 Collecting water samples for professional laboratory testing

Poo 💩 pipes 💩 The drain that wouldn’t behave…

This sewer kept blocking and the owner had been quoted tens of thousands of dollars by some of the big players to reline the entire system.

Sounded impressive… but after a CCTV inspection we found the real problem.

The whole system was actually fine.

It just had one Achilles heel — a collapsed inspection opening about 1.5m underground in sandy soil that was catching paper and causing chaos.

So instead of relining the whole drain, we did what plumbers have done forever…

We dug it up.

🔧 The fix:
• Saw cut and removed the concrete
• Excavated approx 1.5m deep
• Installed shoring so the hole didn’t swallow us
• Replaced the collapsed inspection opening
• Tested the line to make sure everything was flowing nicely again

Then we backfilled and reinstated the concrete, colour matching the new section with black oxide to blend with the existing.

End result:

✔ Sewer fixed properly
✔ Concrete reinstated
✔ Client absolutely stoked

The old system was causing flooding and poor drainage, so we installed brand-new sewer grade pipework, renewed connections, and ensured correct depth of cover throughout the entire system.
