Asking for a little help for one of our previous clients.
Many of you would have heard about the tragic plane crash at Parafield Airport on 29 April this year.
One of the people seriously injured in the accident, Matthew Robinson, is a previous client of ours and suffered significant burns in the crash.
Matthew has a long road of recovery ahead of him, and we’ve already been doing what we can at his home to help get things ready for when he can return. Our team has carried out some painting, maintenance and other work around the house at no charge.
The next job is his bathroom.
It’s only a small bathroom — essentially an open shower and vanity — but it needs a complete refit, including removing the existing concrete floor and starting again. Our aim is to get it completed at little or no cost to Matthew and his family.
I’ve already reached out personally to some of our suppliers for assistance, and I’ll also be speaking directly with the trades we regularly work with.
I’ve never really done anything like this before or put a call out publicly asking people to contribute, so bear with me a little. I honestly don’t know what sort of response we’ll get, but I thought it was worth putting it out there and seeing what we can muster up.
If anyone would like to contribute towards materials, fixtures or some of the other costs involved in getting Matthew’s bathroom completed, please send me a message. Whether it’s a little or a lot, anything will help.
Patrick Clare will coordinate the job and organise our own trades. We just want to do what we can to help Matthew get home and make things a little easier for him and his family during what is obviously an incredibly difficult time.
