Welcome to our team Leo!

🐍 A little introduction!

Originally from a wildlife veterinary background in the UAE, I now work as a primate and reptile keeper at Adelaide Zoo. I’m also a scuba diving instructor, so my journey with animals and the natural world has taken me through some pretty different environments!

I’m excited to join Snake Catchers Adelaide, learn more about our amazing Australian snakes, and contribute to keeping both people and wildlife safe.

Always learning, always respecting wildlife, and happy to be part of the team!

🐍❤️ SNAKE SAVED!! ❤️🐍

Yesterday was an incredibly busy day for our team, with our catchers out attending jobs all over the place!
In amongst all the chaos, we received a call from a kind member of the public who had spotted a snake stuck in a fence at Lochiel Park, Campbelltown.
Unfortunately, the property owners weren’t home, but that didn’t stop our amazing Saadia from stepping in to help!
Without hesitation, Saadia made her way over and successfully rescued the trapped snake. 🐍🙌
It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do. Even on our busiest days, every call matters, and every life is worth saving. ❤️
A huge thank you to the member of the public who took the time to call us and look out for our native wildlife.
One more snake safely rescued and back where it belongs! 🐍💚

Quick thinking from a Sellicks Beach resident was to pop a lid over this juvenile eastern brown snake when he saw his two cats playing with it inside their home.
He rushed the cats to the vet and moved the snake to the front porch for me to collect!
The cats are both ok and the snake had several puncture marks but is doing ok too.
It’s definitely picking up out there with more snake activity as it’s warming up…

🐍 Eastern Brown Snake Rescue

Not every snake removal is straightforward!

This eastern brown snake became stuck in the opening of an irrigation lid and needed a little extra assistance to be safely released. Using a small amount of oil, we were able to carefully free the snake and remove it from the situation.

Even the most dangerous snakes can find themselves in trouble sometimes!

Another successful rescue by Snake Catchers Adelaide. 🐍

Well here is a big unit of an eastern brown that, well ended up in the bottom of a well in Virginia!
Well I’m glad the property owner found the snake in the well and are not sure how long it’s been staying afloat, well Saadia our great little catcher found that the snake was - well - actually bigger than she - good job to all! Well done!!

It’s lunch time for one of our pet death adders…😋

The amazing thing is that death adders don’t look like typical snakes when hunting. They have a broad, flattened body and sit motionless, relying almost entirely on camouflage and deception rather than chasing anything.

And despite their name, they’re not aggressive snakes—they’re usually content to stay hidden unless something comes very close.

How lucky is this Tiger snake?
A gentleman found it this morning at Sugars Beach on Hindmarsh Island where he than took it to Wildlife Welfare Organisation in Goolwa where Lola one of our catchers works and she let us know and Rolly was able to cut it free

Please take into consideration the wildlife you are effecting when you aren't picking up your rubbish
