A reminder ,
If your at an event, sporting day, camping , backyard or whatever it is you are doing , please remeber that limbs come down without warning.
As beautiful as big trees are please never directly stand under them or camp under them .

Ive been in the game along time an ive seen first hand the damage trees can do.

Big clean-up in this backyard! 🌳🪓

We were called in to deal with some heavy dead limbs that had come crashing down, luckily no one was hurt and nothing major was damaged, but it could’ve easily gone the other way.

This is a solid reminder of why keeping on top of tree maintenance matters. It’s not just about the look of the place; it's also about keeping your home and family safe. Dead branches can fall anytime, especially in wild weather, and they don’t always give you a heads-up.

Regular checks and a bit of pruning here and there can make a huge difference. Plus, your trees will thank you for it (in their own leafy way).

🌿 Before & After – Yucca Removal 🪓

Here’s a job we recently completed where we had to remove several large yuccas that were planted way too close to the fence line.

As you can see in the photos, they’d grown so big they actually pushed the fence out of shape and bent the posts. These things might look great when they’re small, but over time they can cause a lot more damage than people expect.

💥 Why it’s a problem:
Yuccas have really strong root systems, and their bulky growth can:

Push over fences
Damage paving and concrete
Even mess with plumbing if they’re near pipes

In this case, the fence will now need repairs, which could have been avoided with a bit more spacing early on.

If you’re thinking of planting yuccas, just make sure to keep them at least 1.5 to 2 metres away from fences or buildings to avoid future headaches.

Customer : refered from our concreter.

I had a call Monday to grind out some roots so our concreter contractor could reinstate the cracked driveway, on inspection on the 40+ degree day i had stated that if I grind the tree roots out we are at risk of killing the tree, after speaking with the strata manager we negotiated to cut the tree down and grind it the stump away so.we could extend the driveway.

However after arriving on site at 6.45am we had noticed a significant activity of bees ,
As I spoke to my leading hand and being a nature lover we decided to call our local bee keepers ... 9/10 all said use poison an kill them , George an I discussed this and we both felt strongly we would do what we could do to save the hive. So long story short after 13 hour day 15 bee stings and struggling with the heat we managed to get the tree down and a bee keeper come and took the hive away .....

We care for our planet and although it was a difficult day we know we did what we could to save the little guys that help us with pollination.

Big thanks to our crew that dug deep today and endured the elements .
