One of the things I love most about what I do isn't the finished plans, the plant lists or even seeing a garden come to life.

It's hearing from clients months or years later when they tell me they're still falling in love with their gardens. 🌿

This is one of my favourites:

"Hello lovely lady. I've just arrived home from the gym. I drove into my drive and I fell in love with my garden for the millionth time since you helped me plan it. I'm very grateful for my garden."

And honestly, that is everything.

Because a well-designed garden isn't just about how it looks on the day it's finished. It's about creating a place that welcomes you home, lifts your spirits after a long day, and becomes part of the rhythm of your life.

To have played a small part in creating that for someone is such a privilege. 💚

Thank you to all of my wonderful clients for trusting me with your gardens, your dreams and the spaces where life unfolds. It never stops being special.

I think one of the loveliest things about gardening is that it asks us to believe in a future we may never fully see.

We plant trees knowing they'll cast their best shade long after we've stopped sitting beneath them. We tuck tiny seedlings into the soil, trusting they'll become food for families, shelter for wildlife and places where memories are made. We create habitats, restore patches of earth and leave things a little better than we found them.

As Andy Warhol said, "The idea is not to live forever, but to create something that will."

Maybe that's why gardening feels so hopeful. 🌿

What are you planting today that might outlast you? A tree? A tradition? A love of nature in your children? I'd love to hear. 💚

This is why kindness must extend beyond people.
To wildlife.
To ecosystems.
To the trees that quietly keep our communities alive.

Protect what cannot speak for itself.

“I want a beautiful garden… but I don’t know what plants to choose.”

I hear this all the time.

And honestly? It’s not just about the plants.

It’s about knowing what works in your space
What will actually grow (and not die in 3 weeks 😅)
What suits your lifestyle
And how to bring it all together so it feels calm, cohesive and you

That’s exactly what we do in a Garden Brainstorming Session 🌿

We walk your space together
Talk through ideas
Solve the tricky bits
And give you clear direction so you can move forward with confidence

No overwhelm.
No guessing.
Just a plan that makes sense.

Perfect if you want to DIY but don’t know where to start — or you just need someone to help you pull it all together.

If this sounds like you, book in with me 💚

Not only can you find me at WEA, but you can now find me at TAFE SA helping you learn everything you need to design your own garden.

If you’ve been staring at your garden thinking
“I want this to feel really good… but I have no idea where to start” — come along.

This isn’t a stiff, textbook kind of course. It’s how I actually design gardens in real life — working with what’s there, tuning into the space, and creating something that feels calm, connected and a bit magic.

Over 3 weeks, I’ll walk you through:
✨ How to properly read your site (this changes everything)
✨ Ways to shape your space so it flows and makes sense
✨ Choosing plants that actually want to be there
✨ Simple design tricks that make a garden feel cohesive (without overthinking it)

There’ll be plenty of chat, ideas, and those little moments where things just click.

📍 Adelaide City Campus
📅 Starting Thursday 30 April
⏰ 5:30 pm (runs over 3 weeks)

Perfect if you’re starting from scratch, reworking your space, or just want to feel more confident making decisions in your garden.

And if you’re someone who rescues worms off the footpath… you’ll fit right in 🐛💚

I saw a bee today
searching for something that wasn’t there.

No flowers.
No food.
Just heat and hard ground.

And it made me realise…
we’ve taken so much space,
but we haven’t left much behind.

Not for them anyway.

So this is your gentle nudge — not to be perfect,
just to make a little room for life again.

A bowl of water.
A plant that flowers.
A corner you don’t tidy.

That’s all it takes to start.

Because the world doesn’t need more perfect gardens.

It needs more living ones. 🌿
