NEW SOCIAL HOMES DELIVERED IN ALBANY
Great to be back down in Albany with local Labor MP Rebecca Stephens Member for Albany to unveil the completion of 16 new social homes in Albany. These new homes provide a major boost to affordable housing in the Great Southern region.
These high-quality 16 homes are a mix of three bedroom, two bedroom and one bedroom social homes have been built to silver liveable standards by local builder Wauters Building Company .
Additionally it was great to announce, alongside Rebecca Stephens and Advance Housing CEO John Lysaught, that the Cook Labor Government is partnering with the Federal Albanese Labor Government, My Home Australasia Limited and Advance Housing to deliver a further 12 new social homes in Albany, as part of the Albany My Home Project.
These twelve homes will be a mix of one and two-bedroom social homes and will provide housing to the most vulnerable members of our community. On completion, these new homes in Albany will be managed by community housing provider Advance Housing, a local and respected community housing organisation.
Since the Cook Labor Government's record $4.5 billion investment in housing and homelessness measures, we've added more than 2,600 social homes, with more than 1,000 social homes currently under contract or construction, throughout Western Australia.
