For the Albany Cottage ensuite, that someone is Pop, carpenter, furniture restorer, retiree, and Genaye's dad. He's been crafting a bespoke vanity and a selection of furniture pieces that will tie in seamlessly with the microcement finish and brass tapware.

Blockwork is going up on our new build in Kalgan and we are absolutely buzzing about how this one is shaping up. The blocks are going to complement the Metroll Mac Distinction architectural cladding wrapping the rest of this gable-style build beautifully, inside and out.

Big credit to our brickie legends Sav and Chris who have hit the ground running as usual. One of the reasons we stick with the same subbies project after project, we know what we're getting, they know our standards. That relationship is worth its weight in gold 🙌

Milestone alert 🙌 We recently found some time up our sleeve (not really, but we made it happen) to sort out an old, tired timber deck. Client went composite this time round, smart move when you're dealing with direct sun and WA's wet winters, timber just doesn't hold up long term.

Massive shoutout to Jay, our third year apprentice, who ran this one solo. Reframed the entire sub-frame to suit the new decking sizes, straightened out sections that were honestly custard, then laid every board himself, border boards, steps, multiple levels, access panels for the storm and sewer drains, all set out to run full width boards throughout.

The skill, the patience, the fastidiousness, it's all there. Proud of you Jay 👏

Sunshine, salt water, and a whole lot of family chaos. Our Broome trip in a nutshell 🌅

The kids merged with their cousins from the Spring Tide Construction Crew and had an absolute blast, all while repping Pinelock Systems. Odi pushed past some nerves and went free diving with us, saw an incredible array of sea life (footage coming), including watching Uncle Mooshu land an absolute unit of a mackerel. 🎣

We ate fish for days. Lots of bike rides, park plays, and brewery stops for the parents (had to). Whale watching, obligatory Broome sunset (getting everyone smiling at once? impossible), tea parties for the girls, reading time for the boys, and a couple of hefty disputes that needed sorting out along the way.

It had it all, and it did exactly the job we needed it to. 🐋
