Sika® Film - Evaporation Control and Finishing Aid!

Sika® Film is a 1-part liquid concentrate which controls the moisture evaporation from the freshly cast concrete flatwork surface in addition to functioning as a finishing aid.
It eliminates the need to add water to low slump concrete or spraying water on the concrete surface to aid finishing, is a good finishing aid to fresh concrete for extra smooth and durable concrete floors and reduces plastic shrinkage/cracking caused by evaporation in low humidity conditions such as heat and high winds!

Just some Concreting Tips and Tricks incase you decide to do a little project this weekend!

🟢Always consider the desired appearance of your concrete slab throughout the finishing process. This is crucial, especially for stamped concrete, where aesthetics matter.
🟢When troweling, apply equal pressure to avoid undesirable grooves on the surface. Patience and care during this step pay off later.
🟢As the concrete sets, you’ll notice water rising to the surface. Efficiently work it back into the mixture to ensure desired strength and density.

Rain glorious rain! 🌧 Although we love recieving it , its not so great for concrete or livestock transport!
Make sure you're following Aileron Bush Club for updates on the event!

📣 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

As you are all aware we have had some beautiful and much needed rainfall around the Alice Springs district over the past few days.

Unfortunately, the Aileron Rodeo Club have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone the 2024 Aileron Bush Weekend.

Many factors have contributed to the outcome of this decision. Ultimately road conditions would not allow our livestock contractors to get livestock to the venue for the weekend and the wet surface poses a risk to animals and competitors.

We are working hard on an alternative date and will be in a position to update you all in the coming days.

We thank you for your patience and understanding. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any queries.
