With this last couple of weeks seeing an influx of hot water units meeting their demise and homeowners choosing a more energy efficient for their hot water supply, we thought now would be a good time for a refresh on the i-Store heat pump we have come to love installing !
How does iStore work?
The iStore system is 400% more efficient than traditional hot water systems, and it’s completely environmentally friendly. So, how does it work?
A fan draws in air, containing heat energy, across the evaporator
The evaporator turns the liquid refrigerant into a gas
The compressor pressurises the refrigerant into a hot gas
The hot gas inside the condenser coil heats the water inside the coil-wrapped tank
The refrigerant reverts back to a liquid after heating the water and continues to the evaporator for the process to start again.
This system is incredibly efficient and makes for a much more environmentally friendly home.
Does an iStore system reduce my bill?
It certainly does. The iStore system can reduce your power consumption by up to two-thirds. Over the course of a year, that means a significant saving for your household.
