The latest issue of Earthmovers & Excavators is on sale now!

In this issueโ€™s cover story, we discover how Yellowgate Group's rent to buy solution has helped Midland Brick trial a XC968-EV electric wheel loader. The XCMG Australia machine is the first-of-its kind to reach Australia.

Coleman's Equipment Pty Ltd has provided Robinson Earthmoving a striking grey Cat D8 dozer, marking it as the 100th piece of plant to join Robinsonโ€™s all-Caterpillar fleet. As well as turning heads, this dozer is also raising money for the local hospital, so we spoke to owner Chris Robinson to find out more.

In other features, we speak to Cater Equipment Pty Ltd owner Sam Cater about offering a bespoke consultancy service for earthmoving clients, helping them find precisely the item of used machinery they need, however specialised the task.

Lynfield Group and its Lynfield Mini X provide something different in this issue, speaking about its Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) approved biosecurity wash bay for imported earthmoving equipment.

With wearable safety technology becoming more popular on the worksite, we take a look at Deakin University's Workforce Safety and Performance Research and Innovation (WSPRI) group, who are developing a fatigue management system. We speak to WSPRI co-director Farnad Nasirzadeh to find out more.

Also looking at wearable safety technology, UOW: University of Wollongong, Australia conducts cutting edge research into reducing musculoskeletal injuries on the worksite. We speak to the research leaders Aziz Ahmed and Manish Sreenivasa, who are undertaking a project that aims to develop a warning system to alert workers to excessive loads and help prevent injuries.

In this issue, we also cover this yearโ€™s The National Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo, which once again provided a range of machinery highlights, including several launches for the Australian market.

Speaking to Continental at the National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo, its Shop In A Box industrial fluid solution was a highlight, providing operators with a turnkey workbench for hydraulic and industrial hose crimping.

Civil Contractors Federation - Queensland's CEO Damian Long discusses the impact of Queenslandโ€™s best practice standards on the industry and says the government needs to ensure that productivity isnโ€™t being impacted in the pursuit of other goals.

Looking at the issue of gender bias, NAWIC AUS discusses how it can impact women in the workplace.

All of this is in addition to the latest news from the earthmoving world and hundreds of new and used machinery deals.
