We’re hiring: a climbing arborist to join our crew, or an apprentice keen to learn the trade.
We’re a small, family-run team based in Apollo Bay, working across Colac, the Otways and the Great Ocean Road. Coast, farms and forest, often in the same week.
The work
• Climbing and rigging: taking trees down in sections over houses, sheds and fences, plus pruning and deadwooding
• Running the chipper, tracked stump grinder and mulcher
• Physical work outdoors, in all weather
For the climbing role, you’ll need:
• Cert III in Arboriculture
• Experience climbing and rigging removals, not just pruning
• A driver’s licence
• Current chainsaw, EWP and first aid tickets
If you’re starting out:
• No experience needed. You’ll learn climbing, rigging and machine work on real jobs, alongside Tom, a qualified arborist with 12+ years’ experience
• You’ll pick up your climbing and machine tickets as you go
What you get:
• Straight talk, and you’ll always know where you stand
• Well-maintained gear and trucks
• A Safe Work Method Statement for every job, and proper PPE
To apply, send your CV and a few lines about yourself to [email protected], call or text Tom on 0448 762 058, or message us here.
