[SWL SUCCESS STORY] Our Partnerships and Pathways Coordinator, Nerissa Gee, recently dropped in on a work site in Ararat to catch up with Adrian Couwenberg, one of our SWL host employers, and his fulltime apprentice, Jayden.

Adrian offered Jayden casual employment during the school holidays after he participated in a four-day SWL placement for his Certificate II Plumbing. After showing Adrian that he had what it takes to work as a plumber, Jayden was then offered a fulltime apprenticeship at Ararat Maintenance Plumbing.

A perfect example of where an SWL placement can lead. Well done to Adrian and Jayden 👏

First year of Ararat Maintenance Plumbing done.

We would like to thank all of our customers for the ongoing support and trust in our small business, it has been a huge year and we look forward to many more, our success is thanks to you.

Adrian will be taking a long weekend to have a small break and celebrate his 40th birthday with his family and will be back on board Monday.

Mission accomplished!
Adrian has raised $2270 , smashed his goal of $500. A very huge thank you to each and every one of you who so generously donated.
A special thank you to Reece Plumbing Ararat and Manager Jason Ferguson for putting on the BBQ lunch and the boys for doing the shave.

We would like to wish our customers a very Merry Christmas, your ongoing support to us is very much appreciated.
Adrian will be taking some much needed time off to spend with his family. He will be on call for any emergencies over the Christmas Period. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2022.

Every Plumber’s most satisfying moment right here.
Adrian’s specialty and obsession is unblocking a sewer. He has just about seen it all.
Tree roots are the most common cause, followed closely by baby wipes and then he could talk all day about all the random things he has found down a sewer.
