What makes a Level 5 finish worth it?

At this stage, homeowners have invested a lot into creating something special, and builders have done the same - the plastering should reflect that.

With large windows, high ceilings, and natural light throughout the home, we chose to apply a Level 5 finish to create a more uniform surface, helping achieve a more consistent appearance across the entire surface once painted.

For us, it’s about delivering a finish that reflects the quality of the home and gives both the builder and homeowner confidence in the final result.

These progress shots are from a recent patch-up project in Geelong.

Every plasterboard join in this passageway was clearly visible, with both the artificial pelmet lighting and the morning sun across the bay highlighting every imperfection.

To rectify the issue, we carried out the necessary prep-work on the joins before applying several cross-hatch layers to create a smooth, uniform surface ready for repainting.

It’s a good reminder that even the best paint can’t hide an imperfect substrate.
Even though this wasn’t our original work, we were happy to help the owner achieve the finish a home like this deserves.
