A Meterbox upgrade completed at our Kotara project for this week. As you can see in our 4th photo these consumer mains were hanging on by a thread 💀

- Remove rotting timber support beam and install POA bracket and fuses
- Upgrade consumer mains to 16mm XLPE
- Remove/replace Meterbox enclosure
- Upgrade all circuit protection
- Install smart metering

Today’s efforts after water ingress in this meter box left the home owner without power to half of her property overnight. There was no seal around the board, so water found its way in and made a mess.

✅ Remove all burnt and damaged cabling
✅ Replace all non compliant circuit protection
✅ Replace undersized wiring between service fuses, smart meter, and main switch
✅ Replace service and Neutral link to appropriately rated links
✅ Seal box surrounds to prevent this happening again

Our recent project completed for . A full birthday for the existing house and the addition of a second dwelling for dual occupancy in the future.

Works on this one included the replacement of the meterbox and upgraded supply mains and circuit protection, a full house strip out and rewire, ducted air conditioning, underground sub-mains for the granny flat, sub board and all sub circuits installed and appliance fit off.

Todays efforts! This property’s electrical system needed a serious upgrade after the tenant reported getting shocks from their water tap in the front yard 😐

- Replaced POA fuses and installed riser bracket
- Installed private pole
- Upgraded mains to appropriate size
- Relocated meterbox to safer more accessible location
- Upgraded circuit protection to RCD
- Installed smart metering
