𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲.

Every year we see the same mistakes at spring opening. Avoid these and you will save yourself time, money, and frustration.

Mistake 1: Waiting too long to remove the cover. Open early while the water is still cool.

Mistake 2: Ignoring worn pump lids and o-rings. Cracked pump lids, dried-out o-rings, and damaged gaskets cause leaks. Lubricate with Hydra-Slip.

Mistake 3: Starting circulation with clogged baskets. Clear them out before you start the system.

Mistake 4: Skipping the water test. Take a sample to your pool shop before you add anything.

Mistake 5: Running the system with damaged seals. A small leak at opening becomes a big problem by summer.

Taking a small amount of extra time at opening saves you a large amount of time and expense during the season.
