January 2025 we said our project would last 5 years and we have had our final meet. Still waiting on NEMA final payment but we have sold off some excess equipment to cover final costs.congratulations to all concern and especially to our past president and secretary for receiving the very prestigious lions award. It was at their house in 2020 the idea and concept was born ,that we could utilise fallen trees from the fires to rebuild stockyards and fences. What we achieved so much more . Thanks to all concerned

Another great outcome ,the community of Wairewa decided to collect a piece of wood from each fire affected property and make a lecturn for the community hall East Gippsland Timber Milling Project was more than happy to assist this great project that will be talked about for years to come Well done to all involved.

A section of our fleet; we are now winding up the project, still waiting on one final payment from NEMA to finalize some payments. It has been the best, the most effective project ever. I would like to thank, the Scheache and Biram Families who had amazing vision and concepts to begin with, Lions and Rotary EGTMP, a combined board of volunteers who brought a vision to reality, DELWP our first funding partners, MADRA, Gippsland Foundation, Mineroo Fundation, BRV, Nema, Rotary, Lions Foundation. OUR amazing Contractors, Glenn, Jarrod, Mark, Ingrid, Deb, Neil,Tim, Sandy and their staff, exceptional people who went beyond any normal workplace description, they had a real impact on fire affected people.A huge thank you to Lucas Mills, what an amazing machine. We all should look back at this and say we did a great job. Thanks every one.
