Clients had an issue with the sewer main blocking. Water authorities cleared it once but within a few days it blocked again. We had the line cleared and camera inspected for problem areas. We couldn't get the camera past the first section due to drain collapse. Upon excavating the main we found that there was 2 problem areas. When the services were run for phone and nbn it appears the excavator has clipped the top of the drain causing a minor crack but when the nbn was bored through at a later date they had drilled through the bottom third of the drain causing the drain to snap. We cut and removed the entire section and replaced it at a new height to get the required clearance from the other services. We also installed a reflux valve as the bathrooms are being renovated soon and going to have hobless showers installed.
