Unfortunately, your private power pole isn't built to last forever.

Most power poles have a lifespan of around 25–40 years but a few common issues can wear them down much faster 👇

1️⃣ Coastal Corrosion
Living near the coast? Salt in the air can speed up rust and corrosion — especially on older steel poles. Regular inspections are essential for homes around Rockingham, Safety Bay, and Baldivis.

2️⃣ Soil Moisture & Drainage
Water pooling around the base of your pole can lead to rust, rot, or decay. Keeping the base clear and well-drained can add years to its life.

3️⃣ Overgrown Vegetation
Trees and vines can damage wiring, create fire hazards, or hide warning signs of deterioration. Keep vegetation trimmed and at a safe distance.
