How did we get to July so quickly! Nothing like some green grass to brighten up a new home. Simple gardens are super effective. Perfect combo of reticulation, some good soil, roll on turf, basic gardens and our popular black mulch and you have turned a house into a home!

Some great info from our friends at Greenacres Turf Group

It is very common for lawns to show signs of struggling and heat stress after the extreme heat experienced throughout WA 🥵 When we experience 35-40°C + temperatures with strong winds, the evapotranspiration (eto) rate is much higher than usual.
Evapotranspiration is the term used to describe the removal of liquid water 💧 from an area with vegetation and into the atmosphere by the process of both transpiration and evaporation. When eto reaches 11.9mm as it did last week, we need to run our reticulation 20-30% longer than usual for our lawns to receive the same amount of water. If you did not allow for this, in some cases your lawn wouldn't be absorbing any water at all.
To help it recover, ensure you are watering ideally 40mm of water per week and apply a good quality liquid soil wetter and give it time to recover 🌱

Some really important information for your lawn during these hot days from our friends Greenacres Turf Group

☀️ Extreme Heat Incoming ☀️ we are experiencing a couple of really hot days with the evapotranspiration rate reaching 11.5mm today. This means you will need to water between 20-30% more per application to allow for the water that will be evaporated before your lawn can absorb it 💧
If you only maintain your 2 watering days your lawn will dry out in this weather. You are allowed to handwater an additional day.
If you haven’t already calibrate your sprinklers to ensure you know how long to water to distributed a standard 10mm drink of water it is a worthwhile exercise.

It certainly has been a busy few months. This is one we did a few weeks ago what a beautiful setting, levelled the ground, added reticulation, lots of good soil and topped off with some super village green turf. What an oasis for the owners
