We are available to pick up additional projects between now and the 17th of March. Supplying Ballarat, Geelong and western Melbourne and specialising in (but not limited too 😉) Commercial and industrial projects, Concrete creations has some holes in our upcoming schedule. Whether you’re looking for a full supply and install package, place and finish, excavation ect we have your project covered from start to finish. If you’re looking for detailed excavation then we have you covered with our excavator and positrack combo; If it’s precision you’re after then we have our own in house Leica icr80 total station for hardstand mapping, steel and formwork set out /checks, base prep ect and if it’s a flawless finish you’re looking for then our ride on trowel machines and experienced operators will take care of that.

Some recent photos from our Oztenpin stage 2 project for MKM constructions in Ballarat. Approximately 3000m2 of internal burnished warehouse (unfortunately no photos) and 3000m2 of external car park and roadway. The video towards the end of the slides gives a little sneak peak into our finishing process, we generally like to pan our external slabs as well (whether that be with a walk behind or ride on). The final slide shows a few of the surfaces created using our total station for this project. Using this we can check 3D cut/fill levels, set offsets for base prep, set height pins for our pours as well as boxing lines and even check ponding/water retention onsite.

What a week! has been on my bucket list since I first started labouring in this industry 10+ years ago and it certainly lived up to all my expectations. For anyone in Australia interested in going I would highly recommend and this is why: Being my first WOC and heading over by myself I was a little apprehensive and unsure of what to expect but I needn’t be! The badge collection was easy, all halls and exhibits were labelled well and the app allowed you to find any product or exhibitor you were interested in. The biggest thing that I personally got out of the event was the education! As we all know, education in our sector of construction is light on at best in Australia, most people are governed by what their bosses have taught them and maybe some online research and further education is either expensive or simply not available. I enrolled in 15 hours worth of seminars and courses which included anything from specialist flat floor work to business and employee management, mix design, general concrete troubleshooting shooting (obviously with a few different processes and products than we use back home and most classes taught in imperial measurements 😝) ect and there were plenty more available. Everything was taught by industry professionals who were all happy to stick around and answer questions after the sessions. The 65000m2 of equipment exhibits was also very impressive, all the big players were there as well as new and innovative technology! Once again, if you are considering it then just do it!

A couple more slabs from our maxitrans redevelopment project. The first set of photos is from 2 seperate 3 pit robotic welding stations and the second set is for a new blast booth. The base of the large sunken section needed full with I-beam placed at 2m intervals and poured insitu for the floor system to be mounted and welded to. Once again we were able to obtain drawings for total station to ensure each component of the various slabs were within the specified tolerances.

A sneak peak of a project we completed late last year at Maxitrans Ballarat for their redevelopment. This involved the installation of 4 base slabs for new paint spray booths. Our scope included the detailed excavation, reinforcement design and steel fixing, culvert supply and installation, formwork and concrete placement. Working with maxitrans in house engineers we were supplied with a detailed CAD/DXF file for our total station so we could accurately map and layout everything from excavation lines to ensure wall thickness to steel locations, culvert and formwork placement and more all in relation to current shed column and roadway layout.

This is one of the projects we completed prior to the Easter break, completed for Bowden corp this structural slab is for the new Melton ambulance Victoria building. Another reasonably involved ground slab it was a great effort from the boys to get this dug, set up and poured in just over two weeks given it was 550m2 of raft, approximately 27 tonne of steel and 300m3 over two pours. Picking up some days on our end of the schedule meant the panels could be lifted before the Easter break and really get the project moving along as seen in the final photo. It’s a pleasure to be given the opportunity to be a part of projects like this supporting the community

Lift pit, column and block wall starters, angled walls ect and to give us one more thing to worry about on pour day the builder requested wet area falls to be pour insitu with the slab to preset floor wastes… cheers
