Last week, we celebrated 15 years in business!

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone we’ve worked with along the way—our team, our trades and suppliers, and all of our wonderful clients. To our past and present clients, thank you for your trust and support. To our future clients, we look forward to building something special with you.

There have been plenty of ups and, of course, a few downs, but it wouldn’t be business without both. We couldn’t have done it without the people who have supported us throughout the years.

To our family at home, who have been there through it all, we thank you the most. Your patience, encouragement and support mean more than words can say.

We’re proud of the past 15 years and can’t wait to see what the future brings!

This week, we joined a client at Big Plans Melbourne to walk through their future home at life size!

Walking over the full-scale floor plans is a fantastic way to get a feel for room sizes, furniture placement and how the spaces connect—all before construction begins.

We highly recommend the experience to anyone planning a new build. Seeing your plans at this scale can help you feel confident in your layout or identify changes you’d like to make while there’s still time.

At Jetsonian Constructions, we’re happy to offer this as an additional service, helping our clients gain peace of mind about how their home will work for them.

Feature walls are a simple but powerful way to bring character, warmth and personality into a home.

Whether it is a bold paint colour, vertical lining boards that add texture and depth, or a combination of both, these details help turn a room from plain to memorable. They can define a zone, draw the eye to an architectural feature, or create a feeling that carries through the rest of the home.

For this project, our clients were willing to take a few design risks—and they paid off. The deep green wall, soft pink feature wall and navy vertical lining boards each bring their own personality, while still working beautifully with the timber look flooring, warm lighting and overall palette of the home.

A home does not have to be all white to feel timeless. Thoughtful colour and texture can make it feel far more personal.

Which one is your favourite?

The island bench is often the heart of the home—the place people gather, meals are prepared, homework is done and conversations happen. It also has the opportunity to become the true statement piece of the kitchen.

There is no rule that says kitchen tapware and fixtures need to match those used in the bathrooms. The kitchen can have its own personality. Don’t be afraid to introduce a bolder colour or a warmer finish where it suits the space.

In this kitchen, the deep blue island cabinetry is paired with warm brass handles and tapware, creating a striking contrast against the lighter benchtop. Using a different colour on the island to the rear-wall cabinetry is a great way to add depth and make the island feel intentional rather than simply another bank of cupboards.

Kitchens help sell homes—but more importantly, they should suit the way you want to live. Make it your own.

Laundries are often treated as purely practical spaces—but they do not need to be boring.

Because they are generally smaller rooms, a bold tile choice can make a real impact without requiring a major increase in budget or compromising functionality. A feature floor is a great way to introduce colour, pattern and personality to a space that is used every day.

For this home, our clients chose a flourished shades of salmon-pastel tile. It brings warmth and character into the laundry, creating a space that feels considered, welcoming and very much part of the overall home design.

Practical can still be beautiful.

Reclaimed red bricks have a character that is hard to replicate. Their texture, variation and weathered finish can add real warmth and depth to a home—but sourcing enough matching bricks can sometimes be a challenge.

The good news is that old bricks are not the only option. There are some excellent reproduction bricks available that create a similarly timeless look.

These are Bishops House Tumbled bricks, supplied by Selkirk Bricks. While reclaimed and reproduction bricks each have their pros and cons, both can look fantastic when selected to suit the home and its setting.

The smallest details can make a big difference to the overall feel of a home.

Today’s tapware, door hardware and fittings come in an incredible range of finishes—from traditional chrome and brushed chrome to matt black, brass, gold, bronze and brushed nickel. They give homeowners more opportunity than ever to personalise each space and create a home that feels truly their own.

For this project, our clients selected Ch*****ne. It brings a gentle warmth to the rooms and creates a refined, understated finish. Softer than a bright brass or gold, it adds character and a sense of luxury without being too bold or overpowering.

When carried through consistently across tapware, cabinetry hardware and accessories, a finish like this can help tie an entire home together.

We are proud to have recently completed works to this beautiful heritage boatshed on Lake Wendouree.

It is a real privilege to work on buildings that are so much a part of Ballarat’s history and character. Lake Wendouree sits at the heart of our city, and these boatsheds help make it such a special place to live.

Working over water always brings its own challenges—particularly through the cooler months—but seeing this project complete made it well worthwhile.

A tiled feature wall is one of the simplest ways to bring warmth, texture and personality into a bathroom.

The right tile can add depth and colour, elevate the overall finish, and make the space feel considered and luxurious—without overwhelming the room.

It’s all in the detail.
