“I wanted it to be romantic, to feel homely but not too commercial”, Steven explains. “Couture is theatre, precision and poetry - I needed a space to hold all three.”

Steven Khalil’s new atelier showcased in this month’s Belle magazine Belle magazine STEVEN KHALIL 🤍

The collaboration has been a decade in the making.
“We always had this vision of Steven creating his atelier one day,” Laura says. “I’d always said that I’d love to be able to design it for him.” The idea gathered momentum in 2019 in Paris, where Steven was showing at Haute Couture Fashion Week and Laura joined him to tour the renowned salons and ateliers.
“We visited all the beautiful showrooms and designer spaces,” she recalls. “That created a lot of the inspiration and ideas behind how his atelier would feel.”
