⚡ Switchboard upgrade ⚡

This recent job included:

⚡ Disconnecting and making safe all existing electrical circuits
🧰 Removing the old switchboard and enclosure
🔩 Installing a new galvanised switchboard
🔌 Rewiring and mounting all electrical components inside the new board
🚫 Removing existing non-compliant wiring
⚡ Installing new consumer mains from the point of attachment to the switchboard
🛡️ Protecting the new mains in heavy-duty conduit to meet AS/NZS 3000 requirements
🌎 Installing a new main earth and earth stake
⚒️Supplying temporary site power for ongoing works
✅ Testing and commissioning the completed installation

The end result is a safer, cleaner and more reliable electrical installation, with the switchboard and mains brought up to a much better standard and ready for ongoing use. 👌

⚡ Another recent job completed in Oberon! ⚡

A local business was having ongoing issues with faulty high bay lights throughout their industrial shed, leaving parts of the workspace poorly lit and making day-to-day work difficult. 💡

After testing the circuits, we confirmed the existing wiring was in good condition and traced the problem back to the light fittings themselves, with the internals getting hot and beginning to fail over time. 🔍⚡

To get the shed properly lit again, we:

💡 Removed 12 × faulty high bay light fittings
🔧 Installed 12 × new SAL 200W LED high bays
✅ Tested the installation to ensure everything was operating correctly

The result is a much brighter, more evenly lit workspace and a big improvement for the customer. 👌

This job consisted of moving a switchboard on a residential home for a client as it was not only becoming an inconvenience with access from the path to the front door, but a serious head knock hazard aswell⚠️

To complete this job, the team worked efficiently to complete the following tasks⚡️✅
- Disconnect, extend and re-connect the homes current electrical circuits
- Remove the old switchboard
- Supplied and installed new mains in HD conduit to comply with Australian Standards
- Installed a new gal switchboard as the other was no longer IP rated💧
- Installed a new earth stake
- Installed cable tray for hidden cable entry to switchboard
- Mounting of all electrical housing, safety devices and metering on new panel
- Termination of all circuits, safety devices and metering
- Installed a weatherproof GPO
- Complete testing and commissioning of install!
