Understand that waterproof flooring is a topic only (when water is from ceiling or you drop a bucket of water etc) but it does not make it impenetrable.

Have a read from our friend at Jessica article below.

The marketing of having a ‘waterproof’ floor has dominated advertising across the flooring landscape. But what does waterproof mean to the consumer? What does waterproof mean in the language of the manufacturer? And what does waterproof mean in the language of the water loss restoration contract...

Day 5 in this drying floor job - rhis wood floor drying should be a week in right condition. The moisture reduction I am looking at getting from
20% to 17%(15%) on my Gann compact or 150(Rel) on my survey master.

The setup has data log on the surface of the floor (sensor push) Protimeter BLE surface WME Data logging. A sensor push data logger is left on top of the dehum for ambient logging.

Room is shut up and the temp was consistent as the around 40 decibel does not bother home owner so it not shut down 🙏😬 as many jobs.

The setup a injectidry positive drying through perforated hole via the injectidry pads. Some pad the hole are left to release pressure and allow air flow evenly through the pad via the hot process air from the floor pads.

Test with a manometer the dry process air flir from the yellow hose 1.2 pascal across the floor to .8pascal - nice low dry air flow towards the entire setup.

Ambient is 39% rh temp is 23c

Floor surface is 36% RH temp 20c

Moisture content is now around 17%

Dessicant has dry the cabinet cavity in 5 days from 22% to 14% WME

Conclusion:

Low flow controlled “Dry Air” from dehumidifier and dessicant setup positive through perforated
Pad setup drying wood floor can provide successful result.

Air that is dry from dessicant and dehumidifier is a better setup in drying wood floor.

Live Test setup💪

I love drying hard wood floors so how can you effective dry wood floors without noisy machine🤷‍♀️

For sure you can. Drying is about how to effectively move water away from material. If enough energy is given to the material to jiggle those water 💦 around😉your drying

This is about 15sq herringbone European oak 16mm direct stick typical trawled glued. They in a high real estate area so the floor is done well. Good for me🤗

I setup around 7 pad from Injectrodry and use Ecor Pro EFP100 and a Resto50 dessicant to dry the floor.

The design worked well through the thermal image and data logging. But what was really awesome was the sound😯. The dB was around 50!!! I went to the bedroom and I could hardly hear the system going.

The setup allow the family to
Continue to use the kitchen and be able to leave them running 👍👍👍

Tracking the setup daily via data logging and WiFi setup💪

Ecor Pro smart drying equipment

Protimeter Moisture Meters to test material 💪

SensorPush to data log

All these are supplied at Bulcs Holdings not just and equipment supply company - smart drying save times💪💪💪

Exciting News for the Building Insurance & Restoration Industry in Australia!

As I reference the words of my colleague Mehmet Ucar who has made it his ambition to bring in the IICRC S500 (and more) into Australia. He worked tirelessly for 5 years with the IICRC board and Australian Standard to accept the adoption of the standard.

In 2023, ME-094 Mould and Water Restoration committee brought together 13 industry associations to work on this standard adoption. I am proud to represent ATFA - Australasian Timber Flooring Association in the ME-94 committee which has now been adopted and added to the standard local language.

Please see the draft standard link below:

A draft standard is open for commenting on Standards Australia's public comments system.
