Position Overview
The successful candidate will be a trade-qualified Carpenter with strong practical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work. This role involves a range of residential and commercial carpentry tasks, working both independently and as part of a small, experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform all aspects of carpentry, including framing, fix-out, cladding, decking, general renovations, carports, form setting & shop fit outs.
• Read and interpret building plans and specifications
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Complete assigned tasks within required timeframes with a high standard of workmanship
• Work collaboratively with other trades, site supervisors, and clients
• Follow WHS guidelines and maintain a clean, safe job site
• Assist with problem-solving and provide practical input on building and construction methods
Requirements
• Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
• Construction White Card
• Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience preferred (but all qualified carpenters considered)
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Own tools
